Singer Sona Mohapatra Condemns Indian Idol Makers After They Decided To Bring Anu Malik Back On The Judge’s Panel


As the #MeToo movement was chosed by the Singer and composer Anu Malik was removed from the judges panel on Indian Idol 10 after allegations of sexual abuse by many women. After quitting the tenth season of singing reality show Indian Idol, the channel has now decided to bring him back as one of the judges for Indian Idol season 11.

While there are rumours that Sony TV may bring Anu Malik back for Indian Idol 11, a source revealed that the singer is most likely to be back on the judges panel for Indian Idol 11. Sona Mohapatra who accused Malik of sexual harassment and also levelled similar allegations against him.

The singer took to Twitter and quoted the victim’s statements and said, “Anu Malik unzipped his pants, sexually harassment me: Two more women reveal their @IndiaMeToo stories” This is pervert @sonymusic & #IndianIdol want back around young girls & Boys?”.

Anu Malik had also been accused by Shweta Pandit, who called him a “Paedophile” and a “sexual predator”. She revealed that she was just 15 when Malik made her uncomfortable by asking to kiss him. “Had to go back to my worst memory as a teenage girl today to write this and speak up- its now or never. This is my #MeToo and have to warn young girls about #AnuMalik & let you know your #TimesUp @IndiaMeToo. Thank you @sonamohapatra for speaking up about him & supporting this,” she had tweeted. However, he had denied the allegations that he sexually harassed Shweta.
